About
Meet Bethany Ashford
I’m Bethany. West Midlands Mom of two, late diagnosed with ADHD, and someone who spent years bouncing between jobs trying to work out where I actually fit.
Before I understood any of that, I’d already started writing books. At the time, I thought I was just making things I liked. Looking back now, I can see I was making things easier to understand and more accessible, because that’s what I needed.
That’s pretty much carried through into everything I do now.
I care a lot about helping people actually understand ADHD, without all the jargon or overcomplicated explanations. Just real, honest, “this is why you’re like this” kind of stuff that people can actually relate to.
I don’t have a perfect career story. But I do know that when people feel understood, things start to click.
I’m just trying to make things a bit easier for people, however I can.

Frequently asked questions
What does the training cover?
A practical, honest look at ADHD in the workplace/Education setting. We explore what ADHD actually is (beyond stereotypes), how it shows up day-to-day, and what genuinely helps staff and students thrive. Expect real-life examples, interactive discussions, and actionable strategies..

Managers, team leaders, teachers, HR professionals, and staff at all levels. Whether you have diagnosed ADHD employees, suspect you might, or simply want a more inclusive workplace, this training is designed for you.
Is this only relevant if we have diagnosed ADHD staff?
Not at all. Many people are undiagnosed, and ADHD traits often overlap with stress, burnout, and productivity challenges. The strategies benefit a wide range of employees.
Is the training in-person or online?
Both options are available. Sessions can be delivered in-person or virtually depending on your organisation’s needs.
How long is the session?
Typically between 2 to 2.5 hours, but this can be tailored. Shorter sessions, full-day workshops, or follow-up sessions are also available.
Is it interactive?
Yes. This isn’t a “sit quietly and absorb” situation. Expect discussion, reflection, and practical exercises that help embed learning.

A clearer understanding of ADHD beyond stereotypes;
Practical strategies they can use immediately;
Confidence in supporting neurodivergent colleagues;
Insight into reasonable adjustments that actually work;

Yes, with a focus on simple, realistic adjustments (often low or no cost) that make a big impact.
Will you cover things like rejection sensitivity and burnout?

Absolutely. Everything is explained in a clear, engaging way without jargon.

Ideal group size is around 10–30 people to keep it interactive, but this can be discussed.
What will we need to provide?
A space & a screen/tv/board to plug a laptop into with sound.

Yes. Follow-up sessions, additional resources, or ongoing support can be arranged.
How do we book?
You can get in touch directly via email hello@bethanyashford.com or Linkedin to discuss your needs and secure a date.
Will this encourage staff to ask for lots of adjustments?

No. This training links directly to performance, retention, productivity, and reducing long-term costs.
What if our managers feel out of their depth?
That’s exactly why this training exists. It builds confidence and gives managers simple, practical tools they can actually use.
